Ways to use Video Conferencing

Video conferencing is quickly becoming the way to communicate with people and today, I want to share with you a few ideas for how you could use it in your business and personal life.

To hold team trainings/meetings.

• Share documents. Whether it’s going through a contract, a proposal or a business plan (or anything else!) this is a great way to share. It’s even easier than in real life because everyone can point or highlight the points they are talking about or want to discuss whilst they are sitting comfortably!!!
• Save money on business travels/hotels etc.
• Meet ‘face to face’ with friends and business partners all over the world that you  wouldn’t ordinarily have the opportunity to meet, in a professional environment. You just send them to the URL of the meeting and agree a time!
• Teaching. Yesterday, I had to teach somebody how to install some wordpress plugins. I got him in the conference room and shared my screen showing him exactly what to do. I was also able to bring up a white board to illustrate other points and share a powerpoint presentation.
• Masterminding. Twice a week I get together with a group of people I work with and mastermind! It’s the perfect place to meet, we can see each other on camera and have a good old chin wag as well as sharing any files we need to.
• Family meetings. I know rather a lot of family’s that don’t necessarily get the time to meet up in person all the time but have started using a conference room, not only to talk but to share documents etc.
• Friend meetings! I have a friend that spent last year sailing the pacific. She got all of her friends on to a conference call and shared her favourite photos and explained each one to us! We could ask questions and all stay in the loop together. It was so much fun!
• Connect with potential clients. Whether sharing a business presentation, a contract or videos/photos of your products and services, it beats email any day!
• Webinars. Email an invite or create an event in facebook. However you want to do it, you can get people there to share your stuff!
